TORONTO–Canadian Tire is expanding its Triangle Rewards program by giving Canadians the ability to earn more electronic Canadian Tire Money (CTM) on fuel purchases through a new partnership with Husky. Beginning today, Canadian Tire Mastercard cardholders can earn CTM on fuel purchases at participating Husky locations across Canada in addition to Canadian Tire Gas+ locations.

Canadians can now earn 5 cents per litre in CTM on every litre of fuel purchased with the Triangle Mastercard at participating Husky locations. To accelerate earning, Triangle World Mastercard, and Triangle World Elite Mastercard cardholders, can earn 7 cents per litre in CTM on every litre of premium grade fuel. Canadian Tire Gas+ locations will continue to offer these same rewards.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Husky and expand the reach of our loyalty program, adding more than 400 new sites that will reward customers with more Canadian Tire Money when they buy gas,” said Shawn Stewart, Vice President, Loyalty & Customer Insights, Canadian Tire Corporation, Limited. “We are always looking for opportunities to improve our offers to our customers and bring them added value, and the addition of Husky to our program does just that.”

Triangle Rewards is one of Canada’s best, no fee loyalty programs that enables cardholders to earn CTM online and in-store at Canadian Tire, Sport Chek, participating Mark’s and Atmosphere locations and on fuel purchases at any Canadian Tire Gas+ locations. Triangle Rewards members also benefit from no receipt returns, personalized offers and content, as well as the ability to track transactions and Canadian Tire Money balances.

“This is an opportunity for two Canadian retail companies to offer their customers even more choices and additional value,” said Lawrence Richler, Husky’s Vice President, Canadian Products Marketing. “When people fuel up at Husky, not only can they earn Canadian Tire Money by using a Triangle credit card, they’ll also be able to earn myHusky Reward points with every purchase.”
