Libro Credit Union partners with Everlink on card issuance
MARKHAM, ON -- Everlink Payment Services Inc. announced today a strategic partnership with Libro Credit Union, the third largest credit union in Ontario, to provide Central Card Issuance (CCI) to over 100,000 owners of their credit union.
Everlink’s CCI solution enables financial institutions to reliably and cost-effectively produce contactless and EMV Chip debit cards from a secure central facility, offering distribution options to send the cards directly to the card-holder or to the branch.
“Libro Credit Union has been, and continues to be, in a strong strategic partnership with Everlink. Libro continuously demonstrates leadership across the payments spectrum and this partnership is another example as it now positions them to bring Interac Flash® technology to their members, while at the same time enabling the foundation for Mobile Payments,” says Mark Ripplinger, President & CEO at Everlink.
“Everlink is a proven leader in delivering innovative payment solutions, which is very exciting as Libro strives to transform banking and grow prosperity in southwestern Ontario,” says Scott Ferguson, Executive Vice President, Information Systems at Libro Credit Union. “Their robust focus on innovation aligns with our strategic initiatives that ultimately benefits the families, farms, enterprises and communities we passionately serve.”
Over the past four years, Everlink’s Card Issuance Solutions have been selected by numerous financial institutions across the country. Interac Flash® technology is a necessary prerequisite for financial institutions to remain competitive in a rapidly evolving payments landscape, particularly if they want to be prepared for the upcoming launch of Mobile Payments in Canada later this year.
