Open Solutions acquires assets and employees of Calypso Canada
OAKVILLE --Open Solutions Inc., a leading provider of integrated enabling technologies for financial service providers across the United States, Canada and other international markets, announced today that it has acquired the assets and employees of Calypso Canada from Transaction Network Services Inc.as of August 31, 2011.
Based in Calgary, Calypso Canada provides communication and processing services to the Canadian ATM marketplace including processing and connectivity support for all major ATM types and card schemes. The company delivers fully managed, end-to-end ATM connectivity solutions including broadband, wireless and dial-up. The company also supports a broad range of value-added services such as remote ATM monitoring and management. Its product and service offerings complement those provided by Open Solutions’ Payment Solutions Group, a leading payment services provider to the Canadian financial and retail industries.
The addition of Calypso Canada’s ATMs brings the total number of devices on Open Solutions’ ATM network to more than 12,000. The combined service offerings of the two organizations deliver the widest range of compliant ATM solutions in the industry. Together, the companies bring a broad spectrum of strong network and hardware relationships to the market. Both companies are recognized for having a high degree of credibility and reliability as ATM processors in the Canadian payments industry.
