Interac Flash on the menu at Pizza Nova

TORONTO-- Pizza Nova Take Out Ltd. will soon accept Interac Flash at all of its locations across Southern Ontario. Interac Flash, which is an enhancement of Interac Debit, is Canada's first contactless debit technology.

Pizza Nova began accepting Interac Flash in August 2012 and will complete rollout in October 2012.

"There is an increasing demand among consumers for cashless transactions using contactless solutions such as Interac Flash," said Mark O'Connell, President and CEO, Interac Association and Acxsys Corporation. "We are very pleased that Pizza Nova has joined the growing number of merchants who are providing their customers the opportunity to conduct faster, more convenient debit transactions."

"We take pride in giving our customers products and service that exceed their expectations," said Domenic Primucci, President, Pizza Nova. "By offering the convenience and speed of Interac Flash, backed by the security of chip debit technology, we're continuing to provide our customers with simply the best customer experience when they visit our restaurants."

Last week Interac announced that Extreme Brandz — which includes Extreme Pita, Mucho Burrito and Purblendz — has committed to accept Interac Flash at its 300-plus restaurants across Canada.

Interac Flash enabled debit cards are already being issued by Scotiabank, RBC Royal Bank and TD Canada Trust and a number of merchants such as McDonald’s and Cineplex Entertainment have already signed up provide the service to their customers.
