Financial institution experiences growth with the addition of mobile RDC
Remote deposit capture solutions from RDM Corporation makes bank more competitive
WATERLOO --RDM Corporation, a provider of specialized software and hardware products for electronic payment processing, announced that Maryland-based Capital Bank, a subsidiary of Capital Bancorp, Inc., has experienced continued growth in the number of new users of their remote deposit capture solution, as a result of deploying RDM's remote deposit capture solutions and smartphone-enabled Simply Deposit Mobile® to its service offerings.
"The flexibility and usability offered by RDM's remote deposit capture platform has enabled significant growth of our remote deposit customer base," said Nikhil Bijlani, Capital Bank Product Manager. "We have more than doubled the number of users of our remote deposit capture solution, while simultaneously enhancing our operations processing. We also see a lot of potential for growth in mobile deposit services, and are dedicated to delivering our customers with a suite of convenient banking solutions, which is made possible with our relationship with RDM."
Remote deposit capture solutions enable institutions to deliver stronger customer service within a larger geographic footprint of their branches.
"Our customers may have facilities in multiple locations," Bijlani explained. "Remote deposit capture allows customers to interact with our bank at any time, from the convenience of their office without interrupting their workday." Customers have commented on how easy it is to use and engage Simply Deposit Mobile. "In just three clicks, a deposit is done," Bijlani said, "avoiding potentially time-consuming steps to process and complete a deposit."
"We developed our remote and mobile deposit capture to provide the ease of use, robust functionality and rich reporting once reserved for top-100 banks," said Randy Fowlie, RDM Corporation President and CEO. "Now forward-thinking community banks like Capital Bank have access to these products to not only simplify payment processing, but to compete more efficiently in a crowded banking market."
