Mobilicity selects TIO Networks multi-channel bill payment service
VANCOUVER--TIO Networks, a North American multi-channel expedited bill payment processor, has announced a multi-year exclusive agreement to provide real-time consumer bill payment service for Mobilicity customers.
Mobilicity launched its unlimited 3.5G network in the Greater Toronto Area earlier this month, and will expand to Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary and Ottawa later this year. The new wireless carrier's GTA distribution network is comprised of approximately 250 dealer stores that utilize "TIO Express," TIO's PC-based point of sale software and processing solution, to process payments through TIO's real-time Internet-based gateway. When a payment is made, TIO Express registers and records the transaction. TIO Express also provides a host of reports and management functions to help the dealers manage their payments business.
"Our partnership with TIO allows customers to quickly and conveniently pay for their Mobilicity plans and services at any one of our hundreds of Mobilicity dealers across the GTA," said Mobilicity's Chief Operating Officer Stewart Lyons. "From a business perspective, outsourcing our in-store payment system to TIO also gives us the proven and reliable front-office functionality we need to run our growing network of exclusive and non-exclusive dealers."
"This agreement paves the way for TIO to enter the Canadian market and replicate its highly successful real time wireless bill payment service for Mobilicity's last-minute and pay-in-person customers," said Hamed Shahbazi Chairman & CEO of TIO Networks Corp. "TIO provides similar services for some of the largest wireless, cable and utility companies in the United States."
TIO is a leading multi-channel expedited bill payment processor serving the largest Telecom, Wireless, Cable and Utility bill issuers in North America. With over 21,000 endpoints to its processing network, TIO symbolizes fast, convenient and secure access to expedited payment services.
