Chirpify allows users to pay via Facebook comments
WORLD--Chirpify, an online money exchange service, and Facebook have joined forces to enable users to transfer money to each other by commenting on News Feeds. According to Chirpify, the one-step checkout process is aimed at providing "frictionless commerce”.
Consumers and companies who want to sell or fund-raise, need to create a listing in a Chirpify dashboard by entering several details such as the item, USD amount, digital or physical and shipping time and price. Once it’s set live, the post will show up and work in both a consumer's and brand page's News Feed. Then, when Chirpify consumer members want to buy something, donate a set amount of money or enter a giveaway on Facebook, all they have to do is comment to the News Feed listing with the word "buy," "donate" or "gimme."
Brands can list both digital and physical items for sale using the platform. A secure download of content, or a receipt for a product, is sent via email after each purchase. Promotional codes, giveaway drawings and integration into merchants' existing e-commerce platforms are also built into Chirpify.
The Chirpify platform is a social commerce system which provides direct monetisation through Twitter, enabling consumers to turn tweets into transactions.
