Manilla on track to surpass 1 million users, securing top spot in digital mail organization category
NEW YORK - Manilla, the leading, free and secure service that allows consumers to manage their bills and other personal accounts on desktop, tablet and mobile devices, has surpassed 500,000 activated users managing, on average, six provider accounts and expects to more than double its user base by the end of the year.
"Surpassing 500,000 users validates the business that Hearst envisioned when creating Manilla and proves that there is a real, growing consumer demand for a new type of account management tool," said Jim Schinella, CEO of Manilla. "Manilla addresses the very common, yet complicated, challenge of staying organized by bringing everything into one place, changing how consumers manage accounts and how businesses engage with customers up to and through a transaction. We expect momentum to continue and acquisition metrics to more than double by the end of the year as we roll out new distribution channels, new mobile and Web features and new partner companies."
Manilla has also recently announced new product advancements, including the ability to create custom reminders and one-click secure email import to help streamline the consumer experience. These user-requested advancements and others soon to be announced are contributing to Manilla's user and account growth.
Recent Manilla data demonstrated that digital mail lowers costs for companies that have joined the Manilla service, as well as increases traffic and mobile downloads. Manilla's commercial partners also value the service because of the targeted marketing opportunities that are completely protected from competitors. They have the ability to drive deeper customer engagement and more meaningful customer relationships, while also benefiting from the cost savings of not having to send paper mail to Manilla customers.
"Consumers want to see and pay their bills in one place," said Joe Proto, chairman and CEO of Transactis, an electronic billing and payment provider. "Manilla helps billers reduce the costs of mailing paper bills while conveniently presenting electronic bills to consumers. Companies working with Manilla also like the ability to communicate to their customers with meaningful marketing messages."
Manilla's platform provides convenient, secure online access to all household accounts and services for more than 3,500 businesses. The free service helps consumers manage all of their household accounts, including financial accounts, utilities, subscriptions, daily deals and travel rewards programs, all through Manilla.com or via the highly rated Manilla Android or iOS mobile apps.
