Advisory breakfast to discuss business opportunities in Canadian eCommerce
MIAMI BEACH–SafetyPay and Computop are starting a dialogue with Canadian merchants through a series of breakfast panels across the country. The first one is scheduled for February 28 in Vancouver.
“Our global experience has provided us with great insight into how local and global eCommerce businesses can increase their reach, revenues and profit,” said Dominic Guardino, director of sales for Canada at SafetyPay. “We want to hear from Canadian merchants so that we can tailor these practices for their particular challenges.”
In addition to Dominic Guardino from SafetyPay, panelist will include David McDonnell from Computop and Farouk Karim, director of treasury management at Bank of Montreal. Invitees include Canadian eCommerce leaders and innovators based in and around Vancouver, British Columbia. Similar events will be held over the course of 2013 in other major Canadian markets.
“We look forward to learning from Canadian businesses their eCommerce goals and are excited to share our deep knowledge of payments on a global scale so they can better understand how to position themselves for growth,” said David McDonnell, senior vice president of sales at Computop. “As businesses strive to drive eCommerce sales beyond borders, it’s important they partner with best-in-class providers who have experience working in local markets.”
Planned discussion topics at the breakfast include global and local business opportunities and threats, merchant and consumer security, advances in technology, treasury best practices and other topics suggested by invitees.
